There is Always One

There is Always One by Heidi Pridemore

WELL, after a 6 month break I am back with a new free block for Block Mania! This time the theme was Birds and our block is called "There is Always One".

Before we get into the details of that one, let's check out our finished quilt featuring the previous twelve blocks. These block patterns are still available for sale on our website for a a little longer while we work on combining them into one booklet.

A Year of Whimsy by Heidi Pridemore

If this is your first time stopping by for a free block, welcome; we’re so glad you’re here! Make sure to subscribe to our email list to be notified each month for the free blocks and other exciting news from The Whimiscal Workshop.

The inspiration for my design was a childhood memory of how free and daring I was as a child. Here is the photo that captured my childhood spirit and was the model for my bird block design.

If you want to hear more about this photo and my inspiration behind this block, check out our video about the making of the block

I hope you have enjoyed this month’s free block. Make sure to visit all the other designers on the Blog hop to collect your free bird blocks!

Each month a group of top designers in the quilting industry will each create a FREE 12” block that fits the month’s theme and color palette. We will all post our blocks on the first Tuesday of the Month. You can hop from blog to blog to learn more about each designer and collect your free block pattern. This month’s theme is “Birds” and I created our adorable "There is Always One" block for you. The pattern is available on our website.
